The fingerboard inlay on this instrument is identical to a fancy banjo uke (see pics) with the name"Premier" on the peghead, and they have the same peghead shape. The resonators are quite similar, although the Premier has a full flange and this one does not. I assume the Premier was the more expensive of the two.
This banjo uke features a very fancy resonator, gold plated parts (the tension hoop is engraved, but only half way around), and an interesting engraved Grover tailpiece. It has Planet tuning pegs. On the dowel stick is a metal plate reading LIBERTY MUSICAL INSTRUMENT CORP. No (followed by a blank space to stamp a serial number; there is no number on this one).
